Cedar is a minimalist salon specializing in blonding services in the Berkeley/Highlands neighborhood of Denver. We pride ourselves on our sustainable, environmentally conscious culture, as well as our highly trained and talented staff.

Our color lines are Pulp Riot (permanent, demi & semi), and Redken (demi).

Our retail lines are R&Co, R&Co Bleu, Reverie and K18.

*We are a commission salon and do not offer booth rental

FRONT DESK SALES ASSOCIATE

Our front desk sales associates are the face of our salon and the first person our clients speak to - whether on the phone, through email, or in-person. That's why it is essential to this role that the candidate be outgoing, friendly, and have great customer service skills.

Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills
Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
Be reliable and have a willingness to learn
Have the ability to multi-task and problem solve
Be able to manage guest expectations with grace
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations/peak hours
Interest in the beauty industry
Availability on Saturdays
Customer service experience is required

Duties will include:

Opening and closing the salon
Answering phones/emails throughout the day
Booking appointments, collecting credit card numbers, managing stylists books
Greet clients in a warm and friendly manner, process transactions, cash handling
Help clients with retail/service questions
Maintain cleanliness of the salon (laundry, dishes, sweeping of hair, etc.)
Help maintain a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff
Supply beverages/snacks to our guests

What we’re looking for:

Two years+ experience behind the chair
Hands-on experience with Pulp Riot & Redken a plus
Hands-on experience with R&Co a plus
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, razor cutting & clipper cutting
Advanced education on balayage/blonding techniques a huge plus
Experience with bridal hair/makeup a plus
A valid Colorado Cosmetology license
The mentality that there's always more to learn and that we're always growing as individuals!
Yearly commissions range from $55k up to $150k+

APPRENTICE PROGRAM

At Cedar, we believe that the best stylist begins with comprehensive hands-on experience. Our training program focuses on technical skills. guest-handling, and business building. We will provide you an environment for growth, learning and support to give you the confidence to move from apprentice to successful stylist.
